HARRISBURG, May 1 – State Rep. Babette Josephs, D-Phila., issued the following statement on the news that Sen. Arlen Specter has decided to join the U.S. Senate Democratic Caucus:
"I welcome Senator Arlen Specter's decision to join the U.S. Senate Democratic Caucus. I was pleased earlier this year when Senator Specter voted for the federal stimulus package, which will help the Commonwealth balance the state budget and fund vital investments during the national economic downturn.
"I look forward to continuing to work with Senators Specter and Casey and the entire Pennsylvania congressional delegation on vital issues that impact Philadelphians and the rest of Pennsylvania."
